When One Door Closes is an intriguing page-turner. You can't wait to find out more…

You don't need to have experienced a tragedy of this sort to relate to this book...you just need to have lived life to be inspired by it.

Thank you Grahams for teaching us how to cope with whatever may happen in an uncertain world.

The authors expose the reader to the many cycles of emotion experienced by not only the teen herself but her friends, parents, family, church, medical staff and even her community (and soon you the reader).

This book, presented in an interesting and easy to read format, is a 'must read' not only for individuals and families dealing with serious illness but for those who have never faced devastating, life-changing challenges.

These are the reminders we need that the world is only as we choose to see it, and that our life is more far reaching and powerful than we can ever understand.

Alex's story is balm for the hurting heart. She leaves a legacy that continues to touch and heal the hurting.

This is a book that you will want to read more than once! It's very gripping! You CAN'T read this book and not be changed.

I was humbled and totally inspired.

A must read for anyone who has or will ever face adversity.

…once I started reading it I just could not put it down. I was compelled to search for an answer or make some sense out of why bad things happen to good people.

What a powerful book. Insightful and moving, it pulls your whole heart into the book and the life of Alex.

A great read. Highly recommend.

This book is not only a moving account of how a young girl handled the illness that took her life but it also shows how her attitude affected all those whose lives she touched.

Every person on earth needs to read this book!!

…it reads in a way that lets you, the reader, stop and reflect on each chapter as its own story, taking it in at your own pace.

This book gives the reader the strength and courage to live life as all humans should. The world would be much improved if everyone read it. You will be much improved if you read it.

...benefit from her wisdom, attitude, and love of life. I highly recommend this book!

The life long message you learn from this book is to appreciate what you have every single day and not to be self absorbed.

There aren't many people you meet or read about that have the ability to touch you with every written word.

At first, I thought it might be just for people who are or have experienced cancer. But as I got further into it I realized that this book is for everyone!

...she changed everyone in her world...her Make-A-Wish ad... U- tube it ...will help anyone understand the plight of cancer victims...

This book is full of lessons: How not just to cope with, but to fully live through treatment of a chronic/terminal illness How to keep your identity while going through a medical treatment How to be a parent, sibling, relative, friend, nurse, doctor or neighbor: of someone with a chronic/terminal illness How you can have a big impact through a simple act of kindness.

I recommend this book to every family dealing with life threatening illness, whether child or adult as an inspiration.

I loved reading this book...in each short chapter was a friend or family member...doctor, nurse or even a rock star telling of how a young girl got their attention 10 years ago...and how in some way she is still affecting their lives today..

I highly recommend this book for everyone, young and old, those in good health and others facing life's unforeseen challenges.

Not only does she offer lessons through hardships of illness, but the reader can find strength in Alex's example and apply it to any adversity in life, even the smallest bumps in the road.

This is the story of Alex, who was full of spirit and compassion. But it is even more the story of the people whose lives she has touched.

I would recommend this book to anyone with or without a severe illness and any or all the people close to them.

All of us have had this same thought, haven't we? Will my life matter to people, loved ones or strangers, after I am gone? Contributing this book's brilliant final chapter, Michael Josephson offers us a resounding YES.

There are great lessons in this book about friendship, love, respect and dignity.

This book is an inspiring portrait of a remarkable teenaged girl who teaches us how to live while fighting for her own life. I highly recommend When One Door Closes. I am also a physician and parent.

This book is a motivator, a reminder about how to live, and an inspiration to us all. My life has changed already from reading it! Alex's wish goes on and keeps changing us.
